Paola Profeta, the current president of the European Public Choice Society, is Professor of Public Finance at the Bocconi University, in Milano (Italy).

Holding a Ph.D. in Economics from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona (Spain), she teaches and researches in the areas of Gender economics, women in politics, Public economics, Welfare systems (pension, education), Comparative taxation, and Political economics of taxes and welfare state.

She is a member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Political Economy, International Tax and Public Finance, and of the CesIfo Economic Studies.

She is also the Director of the AXA Research Lab on Gender Equality at Bocconi and is Scientific Advisor of the Unicredit Foundation.

She has published in the PNAS, the Journal of Public Economics, the Journal of the European Economic Association, Economics & Politics, the European Journal of Political Economy, in Public Choice, and in many other journals.

Martín A. Rossi is Associate Professor of Economics and Vice-Rector at Universidad de San Andres.

He received his PhD in Economics from University of Oxford in 2004.

He is research affiliate for J-PAL (Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab), and  his professional activities include works for UNICEF, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and Inter-American Development Bank.

He teaches Applied Economics and his research focuses on the intersection between Behavioral Economics, Development Economics, Economics of crime, Political Economy, and Public Economics, and it has been published in leading academic journals such as Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies, Economic Journal, Review of Economics and Statistics, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Development Economics, and Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization.
