Welcome !
On behalf of the Board of the European Public Choice Society and of the Lille Économie & Management (LEM), a joint research center of the IESEG Business School, Université de Lille, and the CNRS), it is a great pleasure to welcome you to the Society’s annual meeting.
Obviously, we would have been glad and proud to welcome you in Lille in person, but the situation has forced us to rethink the format of the event. We have thus the honor and challenging task to organize the first online event of the EPCS!
We have received a large number of high-quality submissions, often pushing forward the frontier of knowledge in Public Choice and Political Economy. They went through the usual reviewing process by the Scientific Committee, consisting of the Board of the Society and the local Organizing Committee.
We are very pleased with the resulting line-up of two days of presentations, and hope that you will find the scientific program as stimulating and exciting as we do.
We are also delighted to have two distinguished keynote speakers: Paola Profeta who will give her presidential address, as well as Martín A. Rossi, who will deliver the invited keynote lecture.
We acknowledge strong support from the LEM, the Région Hauts-de-France, the Fondation de la Catho de Lille, and the Université de Lille.
Hopefully, our efforts will help you to enjoy a smooth conference experience. However, you are welcome to drop a message to epcs2021@univ-lille.fr throughout the conference, in case you meet any trouble.
Regards,
Etienne Farvaque
On behalf of the Organizing Committee

FORMAT OF PARALLEL SESSIONS
Each Session is chaired by the presenter of the last paper.
The Chair is in charge of allowing 30 minutes for each paper including the presentation (20 minutes) and a general discussion (10 minutes).
To facilitate the flow of the conference, participants should ask questions in the chat, and the Chair will collect the questions and ask them after the presentation.
To avoid losing time during the session, we kindly ask presenters to have their slides ready at least 10 minutes before the start of the session, and ensure they are in a PPT or PDF format.
The conference will use the MS Teams software.
Technical support will be available throughout the meeting.
